How to play Draw It
Draw It: Endless is a fast draw it game where the only thing that matters is how quickly your doodle can be recognised. There are no rounds and no fixed timer: you have a time bank that is always draining, and the only way to fill it back up is to draw well and draw fast. Every turn you get to choose between two words, so you are always drawing something you feel confident about.
- Press Start drawing! Your time bank starts at 25 seconds.
- Pick one of the two words. The yellow card is a tricky word worth double points.
- Draw it on the canvas. The AI says what it sees as you draw.
- When the AI says "Oh, I know!", you score, win back time and get two new words straight away.
- Can't draw either word? Skip for a new pair, but it costs 3 seconds and your combo.
- When the bank hits zero the run is over: see every drawing, your time per drawing and your best combo.
Scoring, time and combos
Each recognised drawing is worth 100 points (200 for a tricky word), plus a speed bonus of up to 80 points for drawings recognised in under eight seconds. That total is multiplied by your combo. The combo goes up by one each time you finish a drawing within five seconds and tops out at ×5, so a streak of quick, clean drawings is worth far more than a single slow masterpiece. Time works the same way: a two-second drawing refills about six and a half seconds, while an eight-second drawing only gives back two. Since the bank drains a little faster with every drawing, a long run needs you to keep getting quicker.
Tips for drawing fast
- Choose the word you can see in your head. The best pick is the one you can draw in three lines, not the one with more points.
- Draw the giveaway first. Rays for a sun, a long neck for a giraffe, the crossbar and sails for a windmill. The AI often recognises a drawing before you finish the outline.
- Go big. Use most of the canvas; small drawings lose detail when the AI shrinks them.
- Don't stop to fix mistakes. An extra line rarely hurts. Undo costs time you don't have.
- Protect the combo when the bank is healthy, and grab the easy word when it is low. A sure recognition beats a risky double.
- Use the keyboard. On a computer, press 1 or 2 to pick a word without moving your mouse off the canvas.
Why a time bank?
Most quick drawing games give you a fixed time per word. Draw It works more like an endless runner: every good drawing buys you a little more life, and every hesitation eats into it. That small change makes each choice feel important. Do you take the tricky word for double points when you only have six seconds left? Do you skip a word you are unsure about, or gamble that a quick sketch will be enough? The longer you survive, the more those decisions matter, and the more satisfying a long run becomes.
It's also a sneaky way to get better at drawing. To keep the bank alive you have to boil every object down to the few lines that make it recognisable, which is exactly the skill that sketch artists, designers and people who play pictionary at parties rely on. Players who stick with it usually notice their drawings becoming simpler, bolder and much easier to read.
About the AI judge
The guesser is a small neural network trained on the open Quick, Draw! dataset of doodles made by people all over the world. It knows 131 everyday words and runs entirely in your browser, checking your drawing several times a second. Draw It only offers words the AI recognises reliably, so every word is fair game. If you prefer a fixed timer, try Speed Draw (as many drawings as possible in 60 seconds) or the more relaxedQuick Draw. Want to see other people's doodles too? PlayDraw & Guess Party, where you take turns drawing and guessing with bots.
Draw It: Endless FAQ
How do you play Draw It?
You get two words. Tap one, then draw it as quickly as you can. An AI watches your drawing and the moment it recognises the word you earn points, win back some time and get two new words. The game ends when your time bank reaches zero.
How does the time bank work?
You start with 25 seconds. The bank drains while you draw (and at half speed while you pick a word). Every recognised drawing refills it by 2 to 7 seconds: the faster the AI recognises it, the more time you get back, and tricky words add an extra second. The bank holds up to 30 seconds and drains a little faster as you progress.
What is the combo multiplier?
Each drawing the AI recognises within 5 seconds raises your multiplier by one, up to ×5. A slower drawing resets it to ×1 and skipping a word resets it to zero. Points for each drawing are multiplied by the current combo.
Should I choose the easy or the tricky word?
Tricky words are worth double points and refill an extra second, but the AI recognises them less reliably. Take the tricky word when you know exactly how to draw it, and the easy one when your bank is low.
Does Draw It work on phones and tablets?
Yes. Draw with your finger or a stylus. On a computer you can use a mouse or drawing tablet, press 1 or 2 to pick a word, Enter to skip and Ctrl+Z to undo.
Is Draw It free? Is my drawing uploaded?
It is completely free with no sign-up. The AI runs in your browser, so your drawings never leave your device. Your best score is saved locally.
