How to play Speed Draw
Speed Draw is a speed drawing challenge against the clock. You have 60 seconds in total. A word appears at the top of the canvas; draw it as fast as you can. An AI watches your lines and the instant it recognises your drawing you score a point, the canvas clears and the next word appears. Keep going until the timer hits zero.
- Press Start. The 60-second timer begins immediately.
- Draw the word shown at the top of the canvas.
- When the AI says "Oh, I know!", you score and get a new word.
- Stuck? Skip the word, but it costs 3 seconds.
- At the end, see every drawing the AI recognised and share your score.
Speed drawing tips
- Less is more. The AI often recognises a drawing from three or four lines. Draw the key shape and stop.
- Lead with the giveaway. Draw the most distinctive feature first: the ears on a rabbit, the rays on a sun, the handle on a cup.
- Draw big and centred. Small drawings in a corner are harder to read.
- Don't fix mistakes, add to them. Undoing costs time; an extra line usually doesn't hurt.
- Skip early. If you have no idea how to draw a word, skip it immediately instead of losing ten seconds.
Why play a speed drawing game?
Timed drawing is a classic warm-up used by artists, designers and teachers: drawing fast forces you to simplify an object down to its essential shapes, which is a great way to improve your visual memory and confidence. Speed Draw turns that exercise into a game with an AI judge, so every round you get instant feedback on whether your drawing actually reads. It also works as a quick classroom or party challenge: take turns and compare scores.

Speed Draw FAQ
What is Speed Draw?
Speed Draw is a 60-second drawing challenge. You get a word, draw it as fast as you can, and as soon as the AI recognises your doodle you get a point and the next word. Your score is how many drawings the AI recognised before time ran out.
What happens if I skip a word?
Skipping gives you a new word straight away but costs 3 seconds of your remaining time, so only skip words you really cannot draw.
What is a good Speed Draw score?
Six or more is a solid score, ten or more is excellent, and fifteen or more means you have lightning hands. Simple, iconic doodles are the key to high scores.
Are there keyboard shortcuts?
Yes. On a computer you can press Enter or the right arrow key to skip a word, and Ctrl+Z (or Cmd+Z) to undo your last line.
Can I share my Speed Draw score?
Yes. At the end of a round, press Share to create an image with your score and your drawings, ready to post or send to friends.
