Draw Hoop

Draw one line per shot to send the ball through the hoop. Swishes score double. One miss and it's game over!

How to play Draw Hoop

Draw Hoop is a free basketball line drawing game with a simple rule: one line, one shot. A ball hovers at the top of the court and a hoop waits somewhere below, never directly underneath. You get a single stroke of ink to change the ball's path. Lift your finger and the ball drops, rolls along your line, bounces off it and, if your aim was good, falls through the net. Every basket brings a new shot in a new spot, and your streak keeps climbing until the first miss.

  1. Press Play. The dotted guide under the ball shows where it will start falling.
  2. Draw one line with your mouse or finger: a ramp, a slide, a bumper or a curve.
  3. Lift off to release the ball. Your line stays fixed in place while the ball bounces and rolls.
  4. Get the ball through the hoop from above. Clean swishes are worth two points, other baskets one.
  5. A miss ends the run. Your best streak is saved, so press Play again and beat it.

Tips for long streaks

  • Start your line under the ball. Catching the ball early gives you control. A gentle ramp right below it turns the fall into a smooth roll.
  • End the ramp above the hoop. The ball leaves your line with sideways speed. Stop the ramp a little before the hoop and let the ball arc in.
  • Use the backboard. Shots that are a bit too fast can bank off the board and drop in. Aim towards the board side when in doubt.
  • Curves are softer than straight lines. A line that flattens out at the end slows the ball down, which makes slow-moving shots far easier to place.
  • Time the moving hoop. From 5 points the hoop slides. Draw your line, wait and release as the hoop moves towards the landing spot.
  • Go around blockers. Purple blockers appear at 10 points. Draw a slide that carries the ball over or around them, or use them as a free bumper.

Why it's so easy to say "one more go"

Basketball line games turn a throw into a tiny physics puzzle. There's no power meter and no timing button: your drawing is the shot. Because the ball and hoop appear in a different place every time, no two shots are the same, and you quickly build an instinct for angles, bounces and speed. Rounds last a few seconds and a single miss ends the streak, so every basket feels earned and every new best score feels great. It's a quick game for a short break that still rewards practice and a steady hand.

Skills it trains

Each shot asks you to predict where a moving object will end up, which is great practice for spatial reasoning and hand-eye coordination. You'll start thinking about slopes, rebound angles and momentum without noticing, and the moving hoop adds a timing challenge on top. It's suitable for all ages, and kids can enjoy simply drawing silly ramps and watching the ball bounce.

Draw Hoop FAQ

How do you play Draw Hoop?

A basketball hangs at the top of the court. Draw one line with your mouse or finger and the ball drops the moment you lift off. Use your line as a ramp, bumper or slide to send the ball through the hoop. Score and the next shot appears; miss once and the game is over.

How does scoring work?

Every basket is worth one point. A swish, where the ball drops through without touching the rim or backboard, is worth two. Your score is a streak, so keep scoring to climb as high as you can.

Does the game get harder?

Yes. The hoop starts still, begins sliding from side to side after 5 points and moves faster the longer your streak lasts. From 10 points purple blockers appear between the ball and the hoop.

Is there a limit on how long my line can be?

Yes. Each shot has its own ink bar, shown at the top of the screen. When it runs out your line ends there, so plan a short, smooth stroke.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes. Draw Hoop works in the browser on phones, tablets and computers. Draw with your finger or a mouse. No app, account or download is needed.

Is my best score saved?

Yes. Your best streak is saved in your browser on this device and shown in the top corner of the court.
