How to play Draw Rider
Draw Rider is a free line rider style drawing game. A sledder in a purple hat waits at the top of the screen inside a dashed green circle. You draw the track, press Play and gravity does the rest: the sled drops onto your line, picks up speed on the slopes, flies off ramps and, if you drew well, slides across the finish flag. Every level hides one to three yellow stars, and you have to collect all of them before the flag counts.
- Look at where the sledder starts, where the stars float and where the green flag stands.
- Draw a track starting just below the sledder. Lines you draw stay exactly where you put them.
- Keep an eye on the ink bar. Every line uses ink, and when it is empty you cannot draw any more.
- Press Play and watch the ride. Press Stop at any time to go back and edit your track.
- Collect every star and reach the flag to win. If the rider falls off, flies off the screen or stops moving, tap Edit track and try a new line.
Tips for drawing a great track
- Start right under the sled. The rider drops straight down when you press Play. Begin your line a little below the dashed circle so the sled lands gently instead of falling a long way.
- Steep is fast, flat is slow. A steep drop builds the speed you need for jumps and loops. Long flat sections slowly bleed speed away, and a rider that stops for a few seconds ends the run.
- Curve your corners. Sharp kinks bump the sled and can throw the rider off. Smooth, rounded curves keep the sledder seated. Your strokes are smoothed a little automatically, but gentle shapes always win.
- Use kickers to jump. To cross a striped no-draw gap or reach a star high in the air, end your line with a short upward flick. The faster the rider arrives, the further the jump goes.
- Land on a slope. Draw the landing line sloping downwards in the direction of travel, like a ski jump. Flat or uphill landings stop the sled dead.
- Mind your head. Lines are safe for the rider's body, but the solid blocks are not. If the rider's head hits a block, they tumble off the sled.
- Loops need speed. For a loop-the-loop, start with a long, steep drop, then draw a big round circle that ends where it began and carries on to the flag.
What is in the levels
The first levels teach the basics: a simple slope down to the flag, a gentle curve past two stars and a valley where you have to carry speed up the other side. Then striped no-draw gaps appear that you can only cross with a jump, and stars hang high in the air so you need a launch ramp to reach them. Solid blocks sit in the way, some to ride over and some to sneak under. One level turns the whole course around so the rider has to head left, one gives you barely enough ink for a single straight line, and the loop-the-loop levels ask for a big, fast circle. The finale combines a loop with a jump over a gap. Every level can be solved in several ways, so experiment.
Why line riding is so much fun
Line riding games have been a favourite since the early days of browser games because they turn a simple pen into a complete game designer. You are the track builder and the audience at the same time: you draw a few lines, press play and watch a little character live or fall on your decisions. Draw Rider adds goals to that sandbox feeling, with stars to collect, a flag to reach and an ink limit that rewards clever, efficient tracks. It is a playful way to get a feel for speed, slopes and momentum, and the race to finish a level with three stars keeps you drawing just one more line.

Draw Rider FAQ
How do you play Draw Rider?
Draw a track with your mouse or finger, starting just under the sledder. Press Play and the rider slides down your lines under gravity. Collect every star and reach the green flag to win the level.
Can I change my track after pressing Play?
Yes. Press Stop during a ride, or tap Edit track after a crash, and you go back to drawing with all your lines kept. Use the ↶ button to undo the last line, or the ↻ button to clear everything and start the level again.
Why does my rider fall through some lines?
Tracks are one-sided, like in classic line riding games: the sled rides on top of a line, but passes through it from underneath. That is what makes loop-the-loops possible. Draw your tracks from the rider towards the flag so the riding side faces up.
How are stars awarded?
Every level needs all of its yellow stars collected before the flag counts. Your rating of one to three stars depends on ink: finish with half the ink bar or less for three stars, up to 80% for two stars.
Does Draw Rider work on phones?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. Draw with a finger on touch screens or with a mouse or trackpad. There is nothing to download or install.
Is Draw Rider free, and is my progress saved?
Draw Rider is completely free to play online. Unlocked levels and your best star ratings are saved in your browser on this device.
