Draw Rope Puzzle: Rope Swing

Draw the ropes, time the cut and let the candy fly.

Level 1

How to play the Draw Rope Puzzle

Rope Swing Draw is a draw rope puzzle where you build the swing yourself. A wrapped candy floats in the air, a basket waits somewhere below and the floor is covered in spikes. Draw ropes from the golden pins to the candy, let it go and then cut the ropes at just the right moment so the candy flies into the basket.

  1. Find the pins, the basket and the spikes. Every pin has a dashed circle where a rope can start.
  2. Draw a line from inside a pin's circle to the candy. That line becomes a rope of the same length.
  3. Add more ropes if you like, as long as your ink lasts. Each pin can hold one rope.
  4. Press Go! The candy drops and swings on its ropes.
  5. Swipe across a rope to cut it. Land the candy in the basket to win.

Tips for perfect swings

  • Cut on the way up. The candy keeps the speed it had when the rope snapped. Cutting just after the lowest point throws it forwards and upwards, which is usually what you want.
  • Slack ropes drop first. A curvy, longer rope lets the candy fall before the rope tightens, which gives a bigger and faster swing.
  • Pick the pin on the far side. A pin on the opposite side of the candy from the basket swings it towards the basket.
  • Two ropes, two moments. With two ropes the candy hangs between them. Cut one to start a swing, then the second to launch it.
  • The candy cannot climb higher than it started. A swing trades height for speed and back again, so plan your route downhill.
  • Short ropes save ink. Straight ropes earn the best star ratings.

Levels and obstacles

The first levels teach the basic swing and cut with a single pin. Soon you must choose between two pins, swing a candy over a wall, hurl it across the whole screen to a basket on the far side and dodge spike blocks hanging in mid-air. Later puzzles hide the basket beneath spikes, put the candy between two pins so it hangs in a V, and finish with a long swing over spikes and a wall to a basket tucked in the corner.

Why rope puzzles are so satisfying

Rope-cutting puzzles became mobile favourites because they combine a little planning with a moment of perfect timing. Drawing the ropes yourself adds a creative step: the length and the pin you choose change the whole swing. You will quickly get a feel for pendulums, how a slack rope snaps tight and how a released object keeps moving along its swing. Each attempt only takes a few seconds, so trying a slightly longer rope or a later cut is always tempting.

A little physics lesson in every swing

A swinging candy is a pendulum. At the top of its swing it moves slowly and has lots of height; at the bottom it moves fastest. When you cut the rope, the candy flies off in the direction it was moving at that instant and then falls in a curve. That is why the same rope cut a fraction of a second earlier or later can send the candy into the basket or onto the spikes. Watching where it lands and adjusting your timing is the heart of the game, and it makes each success feel earned.

Rope Swing Draw FAQ

How do you play the draw rope puzzle?

Draw a line from a golden pin to the pink candy: that line becomes a rope. When your ropes are ready, press Go. The candy swings on the ropes, and you swipe across a rope to cut it. Get the candy into the basket to win.

How long is the rope I draw?

Exactly as long as the line you draw. A straight line makes a tight rope, a wiggly or curved line makes a longer, slack rope that lets the candy drop further before it swings.

Why was my rope not created?

A rope has to start close to a pin (inside its dashed circle) and end on the candy, or the other way round. Each pin can hold only one rope, and the ink bar limits the total rope length.

How do stars work?

Stars depend on rope length. Solve a level using half of the ink or less for three stars, up to 80% for two stars, and any win earns one star.

Does it work on touch screens?

Yes. Draw ropes with your finger, tap Go, and swipe across a rope to cut it. A mouse works the same way on computers.

Is the game free and is progress saved?

It is free with no download or sign-up, and your unlocked levels and stars are saved in your browser on this device.
